Setting the Platform..(literally)
I purchased my very first pair of black pumps on the eve of a friend's birthday dinner. I was seventeen at the time. I felt the hard work I put in at my part time job should be rewarded, what's a better way to go then a pair of shoes? They were patent, black with a 4 inch heel!! Scary compaired to the ballet flats I strolled around in. I was not disapointed in the least with my hot buy. The pumps accompanied me to special events for three years. As I was growing into a lady and slowly parted with my collection of flats, my love for heels grew vastly.
My current obession today, has added 5 to 5 1/2 inches on my 5'3 frame (with an added platform). Surprisingly, I found the higher the shoe, the more comfortable they were for my precious tootsies. I mean, don't get me wrong... I'm no Victoria Beckham in super shoes 24/7. They grace my feet when I want to feel tall & sexy and on special occassions and nights out. The new trend that I've been seeing lately in magazines and runways are sky scraper heels. These things will have me towering over boys! The late Alexander McQueen, designed shoes as high as TEN yes 10 inches! (As seen on Lady GaGa in her videos and on the red carpet) Too daring! Something that I would definately feel comfortable sticking my feet in, are Jeffrey Campbell's Lita boot. (These were buzzed about last season) There has been so much hype about the brands collection of clogs, sandles, & platforms. Some people may find the line a little weird and outlandish, but I think it's pure genious and will stay mainstream for years to come. Shockingly these array of shoes are affordable! Now that's something to step in to.
xoXo
